// The Gibraltar Vision
We build modern, beautiful homes and make the purchasing experience refreshingly simple. Gibraltar Builders is a family builder rooted in Brevard County, so the home you buy is built by a local team, not a regional office.

Every detail of a Gibraltar home is built with care and precision. From construction to final finishes, we take the time to do things right before a home ever hits the market, so you feel confident and comfortable from day one.

Three steps into your new home.

We prioritize hard work, integrity, and transparency. We keep open communication and devote ourselves to the best home-purchasing process you'll ever have.

With our inventory homes, the purchasing process is often light-years faster than the traditional route, because the home is already under construction or ready for move-in.

Prefer it hands off? Our inventory homes let you forget about the hassle involved in building from the ground up. Simple, start to finish.
// Gibraltar Builder Services
Many buyers arrive with a vision of their dream home already in mind. If you've picked out your land, we'll help you put the right home on it, custom-tailored to your specific property.
Our designers visit the site, take measurements, and design around what's actually there. No plans without a site plan, no estimate without knowing the ground it's built on.
// Brevard County, Florida
Gibraltar Builders is a family builder in Brevard County, Florida. Jim Mayes runs the company. Tim Mayes runs construction.
We build for renters ready to own, buyers who already have a lot, landowners who'd rather trade a parcel than list it, and investors looking at a duplex.
Ask what is standing this week, and we'll tell you which homes are finished or under construction.
Own land already? We match one of our seven plans to it. No lot yet? We can build on one of ours. Start with your lot.
Equity in a buildable lot can go toward the house. We may take a lot in trade toward a finished home or a new build, or buy your land outright.
We also remodel existing homes and build duplexes and income properties.

About half of Brevard's newer homes are in Palm Bay. Of the 23,406 single-family homes in the county built in 2020 or later, 12,051 are there. Across the county, 29,560 vacant residential parcels have a street address, and our lot table breaks them down by area.
Counts from the Florida Department of Revenue, Brevard County 2026 preliminary tax roll.
If a lease is ending soon, look at finished homes first. Rent to keys in 90 days is a real path on a house that's already standing, with a qualified buyer and a lender who has closed our houses before. HOA documents, insurance or your own credit can still slow it down. How the 90-day path works.
Owning land changes the question. With a lot in hand, you're asking which plan fits it and whether the ground is ready to build on. Without one, a finished home is often the quicker route, though we can also build on a lot of ours.
Then there's how much you want to choose yourself. On a standing house the plan and finishes are already set, and on a build you pick upgrades and layout changes before the slab.
There's no regional design committee, so decisions about your house get made here. If something is wrong, you call the people who live here, not a ticket line in another state. Every build runs through 13 stages, with photo updates as the house moves. Read how we build or the Gibraltar difference.
Yes. Send the address or parcel number, and we'll check whether the lot is ready to build on and which of our seven plans fits it. You don't have to be pre-approved to start. How building on your lot works.
